Add 10 Red Foods To Your Diet

If your taste buds are feeling a bit jaded, and you want to try out different foods, I’ve put together a list of 10 red foods to add to your diet. All of them are bursting with flavor, and goodness. I hope you’ll try them out sometime.

1. Strawberries

The smell of the freshly cut grass, the warmth of the sun on your skin, and the sweet taste of fresh strawberries, pure bliss, Summer has arrived. As well as tasting good, these luscious berries are bursting with vitamin C, helping you see better, and building your immune system. Just in case this question might come up in the future, a strawberry is the only fruit that has its seeds on the outside.

2. Cranberries

Family and friends, Christmas, Thanksgiving and delicious roast turkey with cranberry sauce, happy days. If you, or someone you know, is having problems with their internal water works, drinking a glass of cranberry juice can help with this problem. It’s also helps reduce cellulite, something to think about with Summer on the way.

3. Pomegranate

Indulge yourself by introducing this Fruit of the Gods into your diet, and you won’t be disappointed. If it was good enough for the Roman and Greek Gods, then it’s good enough for you. Be kind to your heart, as pomegranates are known to reduce the risk of heart disease.

4. Red Cherries

All around you right now, are the delicate blooms of cherry blossoms. Whenever you begin to feel the first twinges of inflammation or arthritis, try eating or drinking cherries they can help to reduce the pain of inflammation in your body.

5. Red Kidney Beans

You’re on a diet, you’re still hungry and unhappy because you’re not getting the body shape you want, eating kidney beans will help you out. Kidney beans are a great source of protein, which builds muscle. You’ll eat less, as they are full of fiber, and will keep you feeling fuller for longer. Problems solved.

6. Red Bell Peppers

When you think of red you might think of danger, but this couldn’t be further from the truth about this healthy red food. Hidden beneath its red skin are powerful antioxidants that can help your body fight off the causes of cancer. If you’re running out of energy during the day, snacking on red peppers will perk you up for the rest of the day.

7. Tomatoes

They pop up everywhere and are so versatile. Sipping soup on a cold day, adding flavor and colour to your Summer salads, or spread as a base on pizza, they’re so tasty. As well as being tasty, the vitamins and minerals found it them, will also help to keep you skin, hair, eyes, bones and heart healthy.

8. Red Cabbage

This vegetable may not be one of your most favorite foods, but it has great health benefits. If you are watching your weight, trying to keep youthful and your bones healthy, this is the food for you. By cutting it up, and adding it to salads or stir fries, it makes eating it a little bit more palatable.

9. Red Radishes

If you’ve prepared a healthy green salad, and it’s looking a bit boring, make it come to life by adding some peppery, juicy, and crispy radishes. Your juices will certainly start to flow. If you want to keep your dazzling smile, and your bones strong, eat radishes.

10. Red Chili Peppers

If you want to spice up your life and turn on the heat in your cooking, using this spice won’t let you down. There are many types of chilis, so if you’re trying out this ingredient for the first time, and don’t want it too hot, you could start with using the Sweet Bell Pepper and then work your’re way up to the hotter varieties like Infinity Chili Pepper  Turn it up, or cool it down, the choice is yours. The hot ingredient in chilli is called capsaicin and if you want to lose weight and/or lower your cholesterol, eating capsaicin can help with both. Get your taste buds fired up by trying some of these delicious Mexican Chili dishes and remember if you don’t want it too hot just remove the seeds.

Whether you want to wake up your taste buds, take care of your heart and bones, or simply try out new delicious flavors, these are just a small examples of red foods to add to your diet.
